Martin Luther King, Jr. defini' Odetta la regina della musica popolare americana, ed in effetti lei fu una delle prime cantanti a far rinascere la musica folk tradizionale creando un legame con forme musicali piu' contemporanee come il blues, il gospel e le canzoni di protesta. Questo LP presenta lalbum Odetta at Carnegie Hall, originariamente pubblicato sull'etichetta Vanguard nel 1960. Oltre al capolavoro originale, quest'edizione Vinyl Lovers include anche 2 brani bonus, registrati dal vivo nel 1962: "Ox Driver" e "Santy Anno".
